Hazardous

Packaging and labeling requirements for UN1266, UN1993, UN3082 and LQ hazardous articles which are delivered into The Body Shop's Watersmead (DC01), Wake Forest (DC02), Singapore (DC18) or Hong Kong (DC28) via road from European, International or UK suppliers, for compliance with international transport regulations.

1. Unit pack of plastic bottles contained within a plastic shrink wrap tray:

a) Maximum gross mass of shrink wrapped trays must not exceed 20kg.
b) There must be a cardboard tray insert to act as a "soak-away" for any leakage.
c) Must have a LQ hazardous label affixed to the plastic shrink wrap. The LQ label is shown below and must measure a minimum of 50mm x 50mm (in accordance with 3.4.7 ADR and 3.4.5 IMDG respectively).
d) Orientation marking ("This Way Up") (*2) required (except for packaging's containing inner receptacles of no more than 120ml with sufficient absorbent material).

 2. Unit pack of glass bottles contained within a cardboard carton with vertical dividers:

a) Maximum gross mass of cardboard unit pack must not exceed 20kg.
b) Must have a LQ hazardous label affixed to the cardboard unit pack. The LQ label is shown below, and must measure a minimum of 50mm x 50mm (in accordance with 3.4.7 ADR and 3.4.5 IMDG respectively).

c) Orientation marking ("This Way Up") (*2) required (except for packaging's containing inner receptacles of no more than 120ml with sufficient absorbent material).
d) As there are glass bottles contained within the cardboard unit pack, it is one of The Body Shop's requirements to have "FRAGILE" showing for 'Health & Saftey' purposes, although this is not a regulatory requirement.

3. Cardboard outer carton containing Unit Packs of articles less than 30ml:

a) Maximum gross mass of a combination package must not exceed 30kg.
b) Must have a LQ(*1) hazardous label affixed to the cardboard unit pack. The UN number is shown below, and must measure a minimum of 50mm x 50mm (in accordance with 3.4.7 ADR and 3.4.5 IMDG respectively).

c) Orientation marking ("This Way Up") (*2) required (except for packaging's containing inner receptacles of no more than 120ml with sufficient absorbent material).

  4. Cardboard outer carton containing a gift pack with article's less than 30ml:

a) Maximum gross mass of a combination package must not exceed 30kg.

b) Must have a LQ hazardous label affixed to the cardboard unit pack. The LQ label is shown below, and must measure a minimum of 50mm x 50mm (in accordance with 3.4.7 ADR and 3.4.5 IMDG respectively).

c) orientation marking ("This Way Up") (*2) required (except for packaging's containing inner receptacles of no more than 120ml with sufficient absorbent material).

 5. Cardboard outer carton containing a gift pack with article's over 30ml:

a) Maximum gross mass of cardboard unit pack must not exceed 20kg.
b) Must have a LQ  hazardous label affixed to the cardboard unit pack. The LQ label is shown below, and must measure a minimum of 50mm x 50mm (in accordance with 3.4.7 ADR and 3.4.5 IMDG respectively).
c) Orientation marking ("This Way Up")(*2)  required (except for packaging's containing inner receptacles of no more than 120ml with sufficient absorbent material).
