Resolving Problems

The Body Shop operates a Supply Chain which is dependent upon on-time delivery, consistent quality, and uninterrupted flow of merchandise from our suppliers to our customers. Merchandise that does not meet specifications interrupts this flow, and creates significant disruption and expense for all supply chain participants.  This is why The Body Shop requires that all merchandise delivered to our distribution facilities meet our approved standards and specifications for each product (as well as all requirements set out in this Supplier Handbook). In addition, merchandise must not arrive at the distribution facility with damage as a result of shipping.

In the event that merchandise does not meet the approved standards or specifications, it is damaged, or it fails to meet other defined requirements (such as packaging, labelling or pricing). In this instance The Body Shop will hold the product as a 'Quality Reject' until a determination is made to rework or return the merchandise to the supplier, in accordance with the procedures provided in this section. This determination will be made solely by The Body Shop.
